There’s plenty of things to do and places to see in and around the little English hamlet of Carwinley and its surrounding area... Perched on the border with Scotland in a quaint corner of Cumbria, you get the best of two magical worlds filled with incredible locations and activities.

Set amidst beautiful countryside, Carwinley Retreat is perfect for walking, cycling, fishing, birdwatching and stargazing… With a myriad of wildlife to enjoy on-site (including red squirrels!), wildlife enthusiasts will relish their time here as you feel as though you are truly connected to nature. You’ll also find an abundance of exploration opportunities at your doorstep, with the world-famous Gretna Green, Lake District National Park, Hadrian’s Wall and Kielder Forest located nearby. Learn more about the local landmarks right here on our website.
